Day 1/30
Good morning everyone! I hope you have at least a bit of excitement inside to start the challenge! :)
Let me ask you this; what's for breakfast!?
Having a balanced breakfast, especially getting enough protein at breakfast is one of the best things you can do to set yourself up for a successful day. Do you find yourself snacking mindlessly or grazing throughout the day and at night? --> likely because you haven't had enough protein throughout the day or at breakfast time. Aiming for 25+ grams is ideal to start the day!
Having just 2 eggs in the morning sounds healthy... but that is 12g of protein (not enough!) So what else can we do?... We can add egg whites to regular eggs to boost protein, add cottage cheese, turkey bacon, ground meat. We can add greek yogurt, make a protein smoothie, etc!
You're probably thinking this sounds like a lot to do in the morning and I agree! It can be hard to find time to make breakfast in the morning. If you don't want to set that alarm for a little bit earlier, we can always prepare breakfast meal prep style! I'll share some of my favorite things to meal prep for breakfast below and I hope you can give them a try this month!
