Day 20/30
Hi everyone!
If you've been following me for awhile you may know this, but one thing I take pride in is enjoying salads ALL the time! You’re probably thinking this sounds terrible or boring but when it’s made right (more of like a bowl situation) they are so fresh & addicting! One of the things that really elevates these salads are the dressings that are so easy to throw together and keep in the fridge for the week. Store bought dressings can be filled with stuff we don’t necessarily need and usually added sugar, this way you know exactly whats in your dressing! Below are some of my favorite staples I wanted to share with you!
Balsamic Vinaigrette:
• ¼ cup olive oil
• ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
• ½ cup fresh basil OR 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
• 1 teaspoon honey
• 1 tsp dijon mustard
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• ¼ teaspoon pepper
Avocado Ranch:
• 1 cup avocado (1 large avocado)
• 2 tablespoons greek yogurt
• 1 tablespoon lime juice (juice of one lime)
• ½ teaspoon garlic powder
• ½ teaspoon onion powder
• 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
• ½ teaspoon dried parsley
• ¼ teaspoon dried chives (optional)
• ¼ teaspoon pepper
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• 3/4 cup water
Greek Dressing:
3 tbsp red wine vinegar
• 2 tablespoons lemon juice( juice of one lemon)
• 1/4 cup olive oil
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• ¼ teaspoon pepper
• ½ teaspoon garlic powder
• ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
• ¼ teaspoon dried parsley
Asian Sesame:
3 tbsp tbsp extra virgin olive oil
3 tbsp rice vinegar
1 ½ tablespoons honey (or maple syrup)
1 tablespoons sesame oil
1 ½ teaspoons low sodium soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp minced ginger
1/4 tsp black pepper
Peanut Dressing
• 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
• 2 tbsp lime juice
• 1 tablespoon honey
• 1 teaspoon minced garlic
• 1 teaspoon minced ginger
• 2 tbsp coconut aminos or low sodium soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
• 2 tsp sesame oil
Hope you can give one or a few of these a try to upgrade some of your salads!
Thank you for the salad dressing recipes.
