DAY 7/30!


We are a week in! Hopefully everyone is settling into a routine after the chaos of the holidays.


Since you basically have a week under your belt of the challenge, it is time to spice things up and add something in for you!


One of the best things you can do for your body to aid in weight loss and improved health is walking. Walking is something everyone is capable of and has access to (unless you have an injury or condition preventing you.) I challenge you today to monitor your daily step intake by keeping your phone with you wherever you go and using the step counter on the health app OR using a fitness tracker if you have one. Note how many steps you took today or typically take on average and moving forward throughout the challenge we want to increase this number by 2000 each day.


This should be adding in a 15-20 minute walk each day, parking further away from your destination or taking a phone call on the move instead of seated! I know it’s colder where some of us are than others but you don’t necessarily HAVE to walk outside for this! Pace around your house, go up and down your stairs, get creative!


Walking can help reduce stress, aid in digestion, lower cholesterol, improve sleep, increase energy, cardiovascular health & bone/muscle health. Let’s try to reap some of these benefits and get moving!


By no means do you have to, but if you choose to run these steps that works too, however biking/rowing/elliptical doesn’t count - they must be physical steps!
