Day 6/30

Some hard truth for you on day 6 but some of you may need/want to hear it! When I played soccer, I had a coach who would constantly say “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” This still sticks with me day in and day out because it is so applicable to many aspects of life, especially the realm of health and nutrition. We often try different diets or “health trends” and they either don’t work or we fall off because they are unrealistic and not sustainable. I’m not saying to stick with no added sugar forever because that as well isn’t realistic or sustainable, but I do want you to realize that you have to do different things in order to achieve different results.

Maybe you have done this challenge in the past and felt good but didn’t notice much weight change or didn’t keep it off.. so what can you do different this time around? Can you add in an exercise routine, make a commitment to make a nutrition plan for after the challenge ends?

Completing the challenge is great, but making sure you’re challenging yourself throughout the challenge is what is going to make the difference. You can avoid added sugar & still eat potato chips for dinner, but that defeats the point. Let’s try to get the most out of this and get out of our comfort zone together!

Is there something else you started this January or something you’re doing differently this time around if you’ve been here before!? Give us some ideas in the comments! 💪🏼

This is the second time I have done this challenge. I have learned so much since the first challenge. I won’t list them all but the biggest thing I have learned is there are so many better options when it comes to added sugar. I am not one For change when it comes to food. I would rarely try something new. When I got past that I find myself eating many different things. I guess what I am trying to say is that I think the most important thing is that there are many better choices out there when it comes to food. Just make the better choice. Some things you will like and somethings you won’t but you will learn as you go. I find myself with so many more options now. Don’t give up people. We will probably never give up sugar all together but make a smarter choice when you can.
