DAY 17 - NOTICING ENERGY & CRAVINGS
By now, you may notice that your energy feels different. Not necessarily higher all the time, but steadier. Along with that steadiness often comes something important: cravings start to make more sense.
Today is about noticing how fatigue and cravings are connected. When you’re tired physically, mentally, or emotionally your body looks for quick energy. Added sugar and refined carbs are an easy, fast solution, which is why cravings often show up when energy is low.
This isn’t a lack of willpower. It’s biology.
Fatigue can:
Increase desire for quick, sweet foods
Make balanced choices feel harder
Reduce satisfaction from meals
Lower your capacity to pause and reflect
When added sugar is reduced and meals are balanced, cravings often feel quieter, not because they’re gone, but because your energy needs are being met more consistently.
Food matters, but it’s only one part of the picture. Poor sleep, stress, under-eating, dehydration, and long gaps between meals all increase fatigue and with that, comes cravings!
This challenge isn’t about fixing everything. It’s about recognizing patterns so you can respond with care.
As you move through today, observe:
When cravings show up alongside fatigue
How your energy feels between meals
Whether protein and fiber help steady you
How rest or a pause affects cravings
Cravings are often a signal, not a problem. When you respond to fatigue with nourishment, rest, or support, cravings tend to soften on their own. You're not failing when cravings appear. You’re learning what your body needs!
