DAY 2 RECAP - LISTENING A LITTLE MORE CLOSELY

Once added sugar starts to step back, cravings can feel more noticeable — not because you’re deprived, but because your body and habits are no longer being quieted by something sweet. What’s left is information.

Today wasn’t about resisting cravings. It was about listening to them.

You may have started to notice patterns:

  • Cravings that showed up at familiar times of day

  • Cravings that felt physical versus emotional

  • Cravings that softened after eating, resting, or simply pausing

For some, cravings felt intense. For others, they were subtle but persistent. Both experiences are valid, and both are useful.

If you’re willing, take a moment to reflect:

  • What was happening right before a craving showed up today?

  • Did the craving change after you ate a balanced meal or snack?

  • Did any cravings feel tied to stress, fatigue, or routine rather than hunger?

There’s no need to label anything as good or bad. The goal is simply to understand your own patterns a little better. It’s also worth noting how you responded to yourself today. Did you feel critical when cravings appeared? Or were you able to meet them with curiosity?

This challenge isn’t about eliminating cravings — it’s about changing your relationship with them. When you understand what they’re asking for, they often lose some of their urgency.

As you move into Day 3, we’ll start paying closer attention to hunger and fullness — the quieter signals that are easier to hear once the noise settles. For now, acknowledge what you noticed today! What you're doing isn't easy, so each day be proud of yourself and what you've accomplished.
