DAY 14 RECAP - THE POWER OF THE PAUSE
The main take-away I wanted people to get from this years challenge is experiencing a reflective moment when it comes to cravings and to understand the power of the pause.
That space between urge and action is one of the most important things this challenge helps build.
Whether it’s for sugar, something sweetened artificially, or just “something.”
Cravings don’t need to be eliminated completely to lose their power. When you pause, even briefly, you give yourself a chance to respond instead of react.
You may notice:
Cravings that pass when you pause
Cravings that soften after eating a balanced meal
Cravings tied to habit, stress, or fatigue
Moments where awareness came after the fact
Take a moment to reflect on today:
What tends to trigger cravings for you right now?
What happens when you pause before responding?
What feels most supportive in those moments - food, rest, movement, or something else?
This challenge isn’t about avoiding cravings. It’s about building the habit of checking in, again and again.
That pause is where choice lives, and you’re practicing it every day! Keep up the awesome work!
